I'd take Seto, for sure he can still play and a 2 year deal is no problem if it's not very expensive. problem is for the Sens that they already have too many forwards on one way deals.

No, Setoguchi will fill the elusive 17th forward role.

I don't think he's going to hurt a team. I'm surprised someone hasn't picked him up by now.

he will be one of the sens best forwards if he signs there so it seems like a good fit. he wont crack the isles F group, let alone a top contender like pittsburgh, boston, LA, toronto, CHI etc

Its an old reference to Jim Tatti and Mark Hebschied - sports anchors from the early 90's on Global Television up here in Canuck land. Yes guy was one of Tatti's signature phrases.

Sens now $3M over the cap floor aren't they?

Joey Moss as stick boy is out of their budget at this point.

Haha I like how you throw Toronto in with the "top contenders". I'll agree with the others, but come on man even though you are a Toronto fan they are not a top contender, geez.

Come on man, get real.

Boston and Pitts aren't really true contenders anymore.

Unless the Sens make a trade for a defenseman and ship out a forward or two, Setoguchi makes no sense.

Can't see the Sens adding another one way contract.

MacArthur - Turris - Ryan
Michalek - Lagwand - Chaisson
Greening - Zibanejad - Stone
Condra - Z Smith - Neil

Guys ready for some NHL "bottom 6" minutes - Hoffman , Lazar ,Pageau , Peumple , Prince , Grant.

There are to many prospects ready to make the jump IMO to sign another forward. Baring any trade of course.

If we trade 2 of Greening , Conda , Prince , Grant for 1 player or picks I'd like this move

That is a big ole steaming pile of crap.

Chiasson was a mediocre college player, 35 point AHL player. He goes on a short tear in his first stint in the NHL, and you think he's a top 6 player. He's not.

Michalek, whatever. 20 goals, 40 points. That's your first line winger. Who is frequently busted up too. Sucks.

Turris... scored over 40 points once in his career. Sucks.

Macarthur. We know this guy. He's a third liner. He's okay, can fill in on the second line here and there. But not really good enough to be a regular top 6 player. Sucks.

Bobby Ryan. Decent goal scorer. Will do till the trade deadline I guess. For your sake, you better hope they recoup what they can for him.

Zbad. 30 points last year? That's a top 6 player? Sure, I guess it is. A really Zbad one though.

That's probably the worst forward corps in the entire league. Greening? Condra? I hope you're joking. That's the icing on the steaming pile of crap.
